Patricia Wells is a Independent New Media Artist who resides in the town of Scarborough, United Kingdom. Born in United States, from St. Louis Missouri she received a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute, a MSc from the University of Hull, School of Art and New Media ,and is currently studying towards a PhD. Her extensive and varied commercial experience prior to returning to academia includes working within the internet industry as a Information Architect and User Experience Designer, as a Docent for the Los Angeles Zoo, a special event Photographer, and a freelance Digital Video and Motion Graphics Artist. Patricia currently produces and exhibits her artwork internationally, which is based in various methods of digital media. Most recently her motion graphics video art is being screened in New York City on a large outdoor video screen as part of 'The Big Screen Project' at the Plaza Eventi Hotel. She has also recently collaborated with the artist Anne Bean on a series of videos which were shown at Dilston Grove and Matt's Gallery in London as well as working on aseries of video works with artist Brian Routh aka Harry Kipper. * September, 2008 MOCA, The Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art.
